Our Story
CC Energy has its roots in CC Oil & Gas, a company formed by the CCC Group in the 1980s to participate in non-operating E&P activities initially in Yemen, and later in Gaza and Nigeria.
In Yemen, the company had interests in four blocks, including Block 14 Masila with partners Nexen and Occidental Petroleum, where production peaked at 235,000 BOPD and cumulative production exceeded 1.1 billion barrels. The company ceased operations in Yemen when its license expired in 2012, and divested its Nigerian operations in 2011/ 2012.
CC Energy Ltd was set up as an operating vehicle in late 2007 to exploit the company’s recently acquired operated interests in Blocks 3 & 4 in Oman, and to put in place a highly experienced management team dedicated to growing a sustainable and diversified oil & gas company with differentiated capabilities.
Throughout the years, the company has formed strategic alliances with major players such as BG, Centrica, Oxy and Statoil, made numerous significant finds, invested in major production infrastructure, and increased production steadily to 45,000 BOPD.
Most recently, CC Energy has been actively building an E&P business in the United States through acquiring non-operated interests in conventional onshore and offshore exploration drilling opportunities and producing fields with upside potential. The company has also begun venturing into related areas in the energy space, including: investing in funds, acquiring companies in order to expand its range of capabilities, and establishing a Middle East regional oilfield services company.
